FYI and Hiroshi Fujiwara for Burton

While we’re on the topic of snow, a little while ago Honeyee published a conversation between Japanese design guru Hiroshi Fujiwara, who has been designing the iDiom line for Burton, and Tom Routh and Susanna Bergstrom of FYI Design Dept., the creative team behind the Burton AK line. I feel like the AK line has really come into it’s own, style-wise in the last few years, and it’s interesting to see how someone like Fujiwara, who is only concerned with style is coming up with a product that isn’t that different from what Tom and Susanna are doing with function as the primary consideration. The work that these guys are putting out is top notch, and it’s great to find out a little more about their process. Read the article here.
