We went to see Murs open up for Technine in Reno last night, and without going into it too deeply, the scene was kind of weird, and let’s just say that Technine really isn’t my deal. With that said, the real reason we went was to check out Murs, who put on a good show, despite not being on for long enough. I’ve always liked his music, positive without being preachy, and not afraid to experiment, but staying true to his roots (see his collab with Busy P). I’ve seen him a couple times before, and he always puts out good energy on stage. We actually got a chance to hang out and talk to him for a few minutes after his set, and he was incredibly nice, humble, and just grateful to be able to spend his life making music. I love people like that. If you’re into good hip-hop, you should do yourself a favor and pick up one of his albums.
